A Peek At Our Week:
Star Student: Fiona was our Star Student. She is currently 5 years old, but will be celebrating her 6th birthday on February 29th...oops. We have a leap year baby! Her favorite color is purple and her favorite food is pizza. In her free time, she enjoys playing, swimming, and making crafts. Her favorite sport is soccer. When Fiona grows up she would like to be an astronomer. Reach for the stars, Fiona!
The 100th Day of School! We made it to the 100th Day and celebrated by showing off our collection of 100 things and,
of course, counting to 100! The PreK class also came by to enjoy our "museum". Despite the busy weekend, we had a wonderful and creative collection!

MATH: Sorting, Comparing, Composing & Decomposing Shapes. One week we say goodbye to shapes and then the next they are back again! Students had to ask questions that would help eliminate shapes that were not "it". All questions asked about a
⮞⮞Black History Month: Spotlight on Simone Biles. With the Winter Olympics on, it seemed like perfect timing to learn about this absolutely astounding athlete. Simone Biles is true testament that hard work and dedication can overcome obstacles. The class watched some of her routines with wide eyes and mouth open. They were interested in learning about how much she has to 'practice' and everyone agreed that she works very, very hard.
Chinese/Lunar New Year: With the Lunar New Year having started on February 17th, we took a bit of time to read some books about the holiday, learned a little about the animals on the Chinese Zodiac calendar, and the legend of why the cat was not included among the twelve. On Friday, we made Dragons which are meant to be lucky and ward off any danger.
